New Accounting Pronouncements and Changes in Accounting Principles [Abstract] | |
Description of New Accounting Pronouncements Not yet Adopted [Text Block] |
NOTE 12: NEW ACCOUNTING PRONOUNCEMENTS In July 2012, the Financial Accounting Standards Board (“FASB”) issued Accounting Standards Update No. 2012-02, Intangibles — Goodwill and Other (Topic 350): Testing Indefinite-Lived Intangible Assets for Impairment (“ASU 2012-02”). ASU 2012-02 provides entities the option to perform a qualitative assessment to determine whether it is more likely than not an indefinite-lived asset is impaired, similar to the goodwill impairment testing guidance. If an entity determines the fair value of the indefinite-lived asset is not more likely than not impaired, then no additional testing is required. ASU 2012-02 also updated examples of changes in events and circumstances that an entity should consider for impairment indicators in interim periods. ASU 2012-02 is effective for fiscal years, and interim periods within those years, beginning after September 15, 2012 and may be early adopted. We are considering early adoption and do not anticipate adoption will impact our statements of financial position or results of operations. |
